Athletics Information

Introduction

Interested in playing sports in New Rochelle High School or Middle School? If yes, then this information is for you! We will guide you through the process on explain the entire process. You can start playing as early as a 7-8th grader in Modified Sports, 9-10 in Freshman or Junior Varsity programs and graduate to Varsity program at 11-12.

In the City School District of New Rochelle, we believe that interscholastic athletics is an integral part of the educational experience. We believe that competition in athletics is a healthy educational and psychological activity because it challenges each student to excel, helps them to discover their physical limits, and requires them to work cooperatively as members of a team. The ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and participation are at the forefront of the athletic program while also striving for success as we believe that this embraces the values of educational-based athletics.

We are very proud of our program offerings in the middle schools and at New Rochelle High School. Our student-athletes have been excellent representatives of the school district and the New Rochelle community. Many of our programs have been recognized at the local, regional, state and national levels for their success, both on and off the playing fields.

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering the convenience of on-line registration for athletics through FamilyID. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register your child for our athletic teams while allowing us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID the system keeps track of your information within your profile. You enter your information just one time for each family member regardless of the number of teams in which they participate. For further instruction, please see the letter below, provided.
